Of reasons why I still believe they do exist

Feeling the little pitter-patter of raindrops on my skin and realizing that, like the plants, I needed the rain to come again as well.

Having people that I can tell anything to, no matter how ridiculous or dorky, and have them be genuinely interested in what I have to say.

this morning, while walking to get coffee in my school marm outfit with PSP, a bent over elderly man sneaking a harmless "heeey sexy!" to us from behind his sunglasses.

Coming back from lunch to find a little love note from the man of my dreams waiting for me in my inbox.

the last time i felt tears was when i was departing jackson. i was sitting at the intersection of jefferson and fortification facing fenian's, listening to the grateful dead's "box of rain," waiting for the light to change. it all hit me, what i was leaving behind and what i was facing. this was the first time i'd ever truly felt frightened, but encouraged by the road ahead.
this morning on my bus ride into work, i felt those joyful and frightened tears hit my cheeks again. the hot, salty tears fell as i was reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
so, in short, getting to feel it again.

teaching my 3-year-old cousin Parker how to break tortilla chips into "parker-sized" pieces.
an introduction to what we're doing, where the idea came from...
my good friend patrick started a blogging project this past march. i have been meaning to follow suit since day one, and, well, now i am.
unabashedly copying my creative, talented, brilliant long-distance-partner-in-crime.
and you know what, i also encourage errybody to do it too. for good reason:
i've been waxing poetic for the last few months about not being negative. amy got me hooked on this whole positive thinking, Law of Attraction thing. i just feel that keeping a record of sorts of all the good stuff, big or small, will help keep your mind(set) right.
so. if you're down. do it.
